My past mk4 golf gti project dubbed up
Here are some pictures of my past mk4 golf gti that i had some years ago now as my show car.
As my facebook wasnt working at the show at the weekend due to poor signal a few people wanted to have a look hence why i am puttung them on here lol
Some of the pictures were taken from Donnington Park a couple of years ago were i came runner up for Best ICE (a 206 gti beat me to it with what i was lead to believe was some sort of snake skin or summet plastered all over the dash???)
Any way have a look below at my pic and enjoy

The van in the backround with the rappers on is my mates.
Last time I saw it the rear was split into two parts.
The middle was crammed with audio, lcd tv and seats.
The rear which was seperate had a little 4 x 4 petrol car that he used to drive round on at shows, that was also packed with audio.

Looks like a lot of work went into the audio.
Bet it was nice and loud.
I used to build sound systems years ago.
I also had a mk4 show winner which I built from scratch untill some stuiped women crashed into me.

That looks sweet that's one thing I shudda done… Got the 3dr instead of the 5dr but was cheaper to insure lol has that got kit on it as it looks very similar to the r32??
Yea I did speand a lot on the audio but that's the advantage of owning a golf it didn't need much to look the part from the outside as if you did spend just as much on the outside then it becomes too boy racer in my opinion lol so I went for more of the luxery side of it with black and cream leather retrim, 3 tv screens, slimline ps2 in the glove box, two door builds with two sets of competition alipne type r mids n tweaters, a one off custom made parcel shelf with another set of mids n tweaters for the surround sound effect lol, 1 4 channel amp built in underneath to run them, 2 12" alpine type r subs run off a mono block amplifier, good god I did do a bit dint I lol
just hope now that I can do my mk1 up to that standard and go places with it and carry on whetei left with my mk4.

I used to love building sound systems.
The alpines you had were awesome.
I ran a lot of Phoenix Gold audio at one point which was good.
Mine was a smooth R32 front bumper, anniversary side skirts and r-line rear bumper (which was very rare) sourced it from germany for around £400 and sold it for £850 with a spare bumper insert with exhaust cut out (which was even rarer)

Projekt Frustration :
White 1991 Clipper. Lowered over polished zender rims, Single 40 dellorto on lynx manifold, kent cam, full stainless 'zorst / manifold, powerflex bushed and braced. Not the fastest car, but sounds super nice!
Still going after 12 years… never said it was a quick fix! Time is not my friend.

Big Norm, Both are nice looking cars, but I was refering to your black one, looks box fresh, I really like the OEM + Styling!
Shame about the accident, but I can understand the way you felt.
I pick up my anniversary tomorrow, been a couple of years since I had my last mk4. Will be a bit of a shock loosing 50 bhp, but I think my wallet will be happier!

The detail in the airbrushing is out of this world.
Was owned by the owner of sextons in swansea at one point.
Long story behind that.
