My other car is a Porsche (I always wanted to say that)
My other toy, 1974 914 1.8 with the appearance package (foglights, center console, aluminum thresholds, vinyl sail panels, chrome bumpers). Engine would not crank over because it sat for long enough for once cylinder to fill with water. These pictures were taken right after I got the thing home, hadn't even washed it yet. Apparently there aren't many of these over there:
The parts car to get the nice one on the road 1970 1.7. I am using those wheels on my keeper car. Bought this one from a junkyard, hooked a battery up to it and drove it around!

Nice!
How come your restoring the '74 and not the '70 ? Would the older one not be more desirable?

WOW,even that `parts car` 914 has a great lookin shell,i wish all the `parts cars` i`d bought has shells like that.I love the look of the 914 even though they are the `unknown`Porsche,u know i was in the new Porsche museum in Stuttgart a couple of weeks ago and they never even had a 914 there, shame that they didnt become a bit more popular!
