My new toy :)

Having been looking for a new toy whilst my MK1 is still in bits, thought about buying a fairly sorted GTI to hoon about in. Then I saw that for not much more money you could get one of these! 8)

Picked it up today. Here's a pic a mate took on the way back

It's so smooth you just dont notice the speed

…and finally inside

Within 5 minutes of buying had a bloke at the petrol station raving about how nice it looked and got loads of looks, smiles and thumbs up on the way back! (No rude gestures yet!) Oh and pop-up head lights are sooo cool (when you've not had them before!)

I'm loving it :)

Nah, sold that to my brother about 14 months ago, although by coincidence found out yesterday he might be selling it. Would have been tempted if I had put down the deposit on this

Nice car Ansar. I did test drive a Turbo and it was brutally quick, for some reason it didn't float my boat - may have been the colour combo?

Anyway, this one has had about £10k spent on it in the last 10k miles so hopefully I don't have to! ;)

Was very tempted to go for an '83 model with the older dash, I'm still almost wishing I did - it's what I grew up wanting as a kid :)

Does look very nice!

I have been in a Turbo'd 944, and they are quick. Not been in an N/A version though…
