This is Daisy, well thats what the Mrs has called it :roll: now watch for the flower stickers :roll: :roll:
we have been after one for a bit but spotted this on the bay went to see the guy and bingo
we are planing our 1st trip this weekend In Derbyshire staying in the same location the road trip at the AGM took in then we plan in a few weeks to tour Ireland in her.
its the slowest vehicle I have ever owned but fun to drive the gears are from another planet

I no longer have the Mk1!! I now whizz round in a Black 1990 3dr Mk2 GTi 8v but the roof doesn't fold back when the sun shines

sweet! work with these every day! what motor is it? if it's an 89 i'm guessing 1.9 diesel?
Good thing is that later golf turbo diesels bolt straight to the box, so it's fairly simple to get more go and better mpg!
The gears probably want re-bushing if they're a little vague! you get used to it! Spent 10 minutes in a bay camper trying to find reverse this morning…

We are tucked up nice and snug not that far from uttoxeter ran sweet all the way down its only a 1.7D none turbo so as quick as the arch bishop of Canterbury in full dress but hay I'm on holiday and have a gti if I want to quick
