My latest project .. RAPTOR REVAMP

after my golf project was finished i did the pond project ..

then i thought i would give the quad a tidy up, we did a modified Raptor last year
with an R1 engine in it but this one is being kept standardish

its a yamaha raptor 660 and its staying standard running wise ..

firstly a full strip down and of down my mates place to abuse the powder coating facilities





then onto rebuild, you have to throw the engine in because the same bolts hold rear swingarm on




then completed front end, all bearings ball joints replaced and shocks replaced with a pair of R6 rears



then rear end completed with a 4" wdier rear axle to try and give is a little more stability



then onto fitting the looms back in and plumbing in the engine



and all the lights wired in etc



wheels and tyres fitted, some on road wider rears and a pair of scooter rear tyres stretched onto the fronts



end of play for now whilst painting the plastics .. need some new switch gear too so hopefully resume work next weekend
