My beloved Red Hot Mini project
So i finally decided to strip her down, replace the whole front end (which practically fell off), a fair amount of the floor, sills and a few other places, do her up and sell her.
I did the spraying myself at the end of summer 2010, bought the original colour paint ready made in aerosol cans, which was a whole lot easier than using a paint gun, and not too expensive. (had previously helped my dad re-spray his Mk1 Cooper which you can see in the background using a paint gun and it was extremely messy).
And then the finished article here:
Took about 3 years in total, but had a lot of fun doing it. I sold the mini a couple of months ago for a fairly decent amount, was very sad to let her go, but couldnt really justify keeping it as well as my Mk1 Golf.
