My 1966 VW Westfalia SO42 with a few modifications

Florida Import
'66 Westfalia SO42. LHD.
When It Arrived in Ireland.

Yeah, my buddy in Florida is a funny guy,, Yeah I'm laughin alright..

This sill looked ok until closer inspection.. Filler, Filler everywhere.

On to Under cab seats area, Drivers side, (LHD)

We Made this Rotisserie from scrap steel we had lying around..
.. Should come in Handy..

So,
With all the underside sandblasted, primed and locked up indoors,
And with the little time and energy we had left,
we re-cycled the sand for the FIFTH time and set to work
on the battered and bruised Bumpers and front Beam..

The Work Continues…

The Donor T25.
1987 1.6 Diesel 4 Speed.

and proceeded to gut it of the parts I wanted off it..

After a lot of head scratching and fabrication and cutting,
We eventually got the Engine and Gearbox and Entire Running Gear from The T25 incl. Shocks, Springs and and Trailing arms..

A LOT OF WORK..

Futbus and Anton Cowell designed T25 Cable Change Gearlinkage conversion almost fully test fitted.

Here's what it'll look like connected to the T25 GearBox.
Albeit slightly different mounting brackets.

Having bits of trouble with driveshafts and the height of the stock T25 springs.
Im thinking if I fitted slightly lower springs. The shafts wouldn't be "reaching" as far.

Van will be Beige Grey over Titan Red,, Eventually.

Here's a pic of my two Toys.
Both 1.6d

Nice work! Can't wait to see more pics as you progress with your build, what's your plans for the interior? We are fitting ours out at the moment, so glad the body work is finally finished! Anna
