Heavy Geek Content!!!!!OUT OF HAND...!!!!!

might not to be everyone's taste but it's a challenge, i'm not one to pass up on one of them :)please sit comfy this is picture and story heavy!!!

around November time, i came to the realisation my model addiction was getting out of hand, so i thought i would go outside to work on the real thing…….TO COLD!!!!

so came back inside and thought i would build a MINI garage to store my model MK1's in

well it's gotten a little out of hand

to give you an idea i will show to a picture of how it stands tonight

so!!!!!!!!!! back to the begnining of the build

B&Q (other DIY stores are availble) MDF was purchase then the marking out commenced

before to long we had walls, door holes and windows

floor plan was finished in a  gloss white vinyl

next up the outer wall get painted a morter colour ( all will become clear)

then for dolls house you can get a stencil and a brick paste that you apply over the paint to give you a really realisic brick finish

interior walls were spray painted gloss white over the brick finish

then the exterior looks like this, this is why you pre paint grey to make it look like the mortor

so are you keeping up so far…….!!!!! at this point everything had started the spirel out of control

you can by scale snap of tools and car lifts, ebay got a hammering this week

outside tarmac finished was applyed, consisting of sand, pva and blackboard paint

things are coming together

thought i would screw it all together, put a nice flash red band around the walls, and i had to see what it looked like with the car in there

next up the roller shutter door need to be made, so balsa wood, fabic, paint and a little time later

these are full operational doors

then the windows and doors were lined and architrave was fitted, to take the acrylic windows

then with every good warehouse need rafters

also see and the tools and ramps……. love it

favorite picture so far

so then decided it needed to be illuminated, ribbon LED were purchase

then it was installed around the inside of the building, in a channel i porduced at work, also notice the little HSE signs

then a pully was made to finish the roller shutters

fitted with a peice of small chain the finish the job off

then more lights were made to look like flory tubes

then i decided it need outside lights, so i made these little ones at work

fitted

what it looks like lite up

so for all these lights i needed a scale switch board

not wired this in yet but that brings you up to today

that it told you to sit comfy

Once again I take my hat off to you JB!
You are in no doubt extremely gifted and possibly completely bonkers.
(the detail you go to )

So my challenge to you is this.
When finished you will have a lot of money parked in that workshop, so you must install 'Video Surveillance'.

Working of course!

Fantastic job JB, keep the pics coming. You've still got a few weeks before you get back outside to the real thing!

Nah, needs a showroom next with reception area, comfy sofa, coffee table with magazines and sales brochures on it. potted plants and a drinks machine.

Good stuff though, rolling road.. I got a couple of electric motors here, mind you they would catapult any cars off the rollers lol…

What about figures mechanics, secretaries and sales men lol…Plus you need a ramp, working of course..

Shall I stop now..lol   :o
