water in rear footwell help!!

My wifes 88 gti cabriolet has recently flooding with water in the rear (yes the rear footwell behind the drivers seat) can anyone give me advice as to where its coming from, :dontknow:    the roof seems dry ,its only the floor after heavy rain, i dont know where the drain holes are for the rear (as apposed to the front door drain holes ) if its coming from the rear passenger window, the rear seats are bone dry ,cheers  Bodie

all i can think of is one of you sits in there while the other lets loose with the hosepipe and try to see if you can see where its coming in and go from there.

i had this on my cabby

leak was where the roof side clips were, it was leaking down the inside and then in one corner of the boot then it ran under the rear seat and into the rear well

pull the back of the rear seat and you will see your rear cross member, have a look around that area
