VR6 project - going well

gladly making some real progress now. got all the body work on the shell done and iv just finished spraying it, witch thank god has turned out spot on. went with ford frozen white, was a bit tricky to keep track of where id been as iv used white basecoat and primer, live and learn. also some parts are a bit orange peely but for my first spray job im realy happy with the outcome. wondering if some compound and polish might help buff out some of the texture.

just about ready for vr6 lump now, however sourcing a complete vr6 worth having is proving difficult, any suggestions anyone?

Looking good my friend, very good.

Am doing something similar myself, no VR6 lump though, just about to start spraying mine white myself, i've actually chosen Military polyurethene white… very hard wearing!!

Good luck with the rest of the build!

couple of new isues i could do with some advise, arches and sills apear to be a little warped and dont hug the car quite as well as i hoped they would. put alot of time into install and thats the best i can get it, think its just about visable in pic. any sugestions to cause/solution, would filling look odd?

another issue is the easiest way to get acces to the underside. jacked it up on prety tall axle stands for cleaning up. now its spotless, remarcable lack of rust! it was tricky but did the trick. now im ready to seal i need more acces, any tricks or tips?

yea just looked through your thread i think i would have cried at that much rust, however keep on at it, it looks like a good project. cant belive how well those seats came up too. il update as soon as i get some more done, flat out at work at the moment and a bit stuck for parts until i get the vr donar car, so most of my project time is being spent researching and planning my vr conversion. its getting a bit frustrating walkng ino the garage despirate to get something done, looking around and having to walk out again.

is there a method, or tool needed to remove a windscreen or rear window. iv just done the rear windscreen and it took me about an hour and a half with two screwdrivers and was a real challenge not to damage the seal, there must be a better way?
