Vauxhall brake upgrade on the 20v cabby

well as my brakes are on the metal i thought id upgrade to the vectra calipers and g60 discs

i got the calipers from the scrappy brembo discs from gsf and the bolts from chris on here

i didnt buy hoses as i wanted to mock up the setup first to make sure all is ok  

so 280mm discs and vectra calipers are a bit to big for 15inch ats cups even with an et of 25 :mrgreen:

so the do i run the risk s of adding 20mm spacers and hope the wheels dont stick out to much? :mrgreen:

or i change my wheels for some g60 steels not sure what to do now

the cups do look cool ben, but perhaps some steelies for the understated look? even more of a sleeper then. i'll dig out some pics in a bit of my mate's small bumper cabby with G60s on it.

i think that with 20mm spacers you may be pushing your luck a bit, et5!

i was thinking maybe run g60 steels for everyday use then whack some 25mm spacers on for strip action and shows

im in berg cup arch mode :mrgreen:

just berg cup it and get some silly wide wheels on, full kit.

na berg cup arches are for the pro racer i reckon g60 steels on 25mm spacers will do the trick then whack the cups on for the shows

i can see the mot testers face when i roll in and the wheels dont sit of the brake roller  

perhaps i can get the grinder out and mod the caliper slightly :mrgreen:

update on this

i managed to get hold of some 10mm spacers from dub76 so thought id have another quick try this morning and the wheels still dont fit even with et 5    

so guess the cups are for sale now

its weird they stick out at the front but not as much on the back if i ran the camber on the front toeing in id get away with it but would scrub tyres out

what vectra are they off? my vectra brakes fit under my 14's so dont understand why your having problems with 15's?

They are exactly the wheels I've been looking at to replace my Ronals. They do a pacake at rimstyle with 7.5" fronts and 9" rears for about ?850.00 with correct stretched tyres all round.

Worth a look as I think they look mint. :mrgreen:

the calipers are of the 283mm vectra discs they are big not your average size lol

as for the borbets i didnt like them tbh i like my 15s but i did chuckle they were on my mates rallye the wheels are pretty knackered tbh they had a lot of abuse

the ats cups taper in loads so the caliper gets weged you cant even get the wheel nuts on even with 10mm spacers :mrgreen:
