Hey people, this is my golf so far,Ihave lost most of the pics of the build but hopefully il find em.


Still trying to decide if i want these wheels

The new exhaust system

Suprisingly worked really well, 4.99 from good old halfords

Went through 3 tins painting the underside and arches,was not a fun job

At the beggining of the undersealing

Looks alot cleaner now,(apart from disks lol)

Just strted work on the front,got sports rad going in and hopefully new alternator curtasy of NEED-MORE-BOOST,repaited front slam but got some rust either side of bonnet catch so will probably fabricate a new plate in.


Ok so here are my radiator brackets looking rather shabby,seeing as got new rad to go in thought i would try to tart em up a bit.Nothing that a grinder and a lick of paint wouldnt fix.


Then there was the coolant bottle,didnt realise how much shit was sitting in the system till i took it off.

Came up alright tho after a good scrub,tried getting it back to white but not a chance lol.

Ok so i finished rebuilding the front end today.
First things first i dropped the rad intoits new location holes (sports rad is 3inch longer), then fitted the pipes.

After checking that the freshly restored front rad mounts lined up on the slam panel mounting holes, i bolted them down with some new shiny bolts.

I then re-fitted the front bumper,indicators and number plate.

Next on the list was to reconnect the temperature sensor back onto the new rad.

Ok so thats it for the new rad for now, i then fitted the new headlights into the slam panel, simple 4 screws.


Ithen re-attached the wiring for the headlights and the indicators.

Then it was onto fitting the grill which consists of 2 push clips 2 scres newr badge at top and 2 in each corner.


I then fitted the eyebrow which is just a few self tappin scews down into the grill and job done on the front.


Hope fully get my rad shroud and return pipe next week,il keep you posted.

Nice car . The paint looks really fresh. My old cabby was nowhere near that nice.

Very clean!  The turbo's will look sic on there.

looking nice mate  my brovs got em multispokes on his e30 cab the splits will be nice on! :wink:
