thew golf gx

I'm restoring my golf gx. only started a little while back but so far i've fitted lowering sports springs and gas socks. i have a full rear mk2 gti disc conversion to fit once respray is done. currently prepping for spray and smoothing off all the edges so it looks minimalist. ordering the euro look chrome bumpers and the red trim for my grille and buying the ronal turbo wheels. its mint inside apart from the drivers seat split. feel free to add input to what you think would go well with the black spray job.

5-doors becoming more popular nowadays - should look good. If your going the chrome bumper look then do you think chrome grille trim would look better?

thats a very good point there. it would look a bit rubbish but the red grille trim it just wicked with black. i'll take it on board

I like your choice of car….

I wasn't sure about the 5 door golf at first, but now i've done a few mods on mine I love it. You also don't see too many about, so they are a bit rarer.

thats gorgeous mine used to look like that with the twin light grille until someone ramped it off my drive and smashed the grille up. it looks wicked with the chrome trims but i fancy a change and im gonna be badge it and smooth off all the holes and the side strips are gonna be made flat. mine hasnt got a sunroof, did yours come standard with that ??

The sunroof was an after market jobby about 23 years ago. I actually remember it being fitted when I was a boy (the car was owned from new by my grandad). There are others things i'd like to do, but its to original to start messing with, so I'm just sticking with the subtle mods.
