Sad times...ENF Sold :( (Pic heavy)

So I sold the Mk1 last weekend, pretty sad about seeing it leave tbh.  After three of them it'll probably be my last for a while as I'm moving into London so I'll likely go for something slightly more modern (not much though, eyeing up another MX5).

Anyway…I'm in a reminiscing mood so I thought I'd chuck a few pictures of my Mk1s up on here.  I'll admit that my participation on the social parts of the forums has never been great, I tend to loiter in the tech sections reading stuff, just another tragic Engineer ;)

I still love em and hopefully I've helped a few people do the deed and get Valvered up over the past few years ;)

So I think it was 2003 I bought this bad boy, 1983 1.8 GTI

After hitting a dog (!) at 80mph I decided to move onto something else, although damage wasn't actually that bad.

I should never have sold it, it had tatty paels but was rock solid underneath.

So, I replaced it with this…erm, another bog std 1983 GTI!

Somewhere along the way I had an '89 Clipper Cabbie for a year or so at the same time as the GTI:

And sadly, 2012 just before sale…

Hang on why the hell did I sell it….  :dontknow:  :banghead:

I should add, the car has gone to a guy that used to run a bodyshop and restoed a Mk1 Caddy.  He's intention is to sort out the body and respray so i'm sure it will return better than before!

Nice pics mate. I bet you're sad to see her go. Sounds like the new owner will cherish her.

Hope to see her back here soon. Good luck with your new purchase.

Lovely golf mate, at least you know it will be going to a dub enthusiast and will be treated well!
Oh and you have PM regarding the cups!
