Retro MK1 Golf

Here is my 1983 mk1 golf driver which i bought the year before last. insured it when i turned 19 and have been driving it for a year now. I love driving it and always puts a smile on my face.

Changes ive made so far are ..

Chrome single lamp grill
Fitting AP coilovers (wound fully down front but another 2 inches left on back)
Stock rims blasted, sprayed and fitted (with chrome hubcaps)
Lots of stickers
VW Mudflaps
Roofrack
Single thin black trim
Checkered S2 seats

Future plans…

13" et13 BBS Mahles ready to be fitted
Engine bay clean up/revamp
Roofrack revamp
Chrome bumpers (if i can afford it)
Brand new black carpet and doorcards

Time for some pictures… (couldnt make them any bigger sorry) Thanks for looking :)

Decided on 10mm spacers instead of 20 for the rear because they lined up better with front wheels

looks a lot smarter without the roof rack..   what refurb was you going to do with it..

love the interior too.. i know its not that comfy but they always seem to get ditched from 'drivers' so good to see them still in..

This one was taken at a local meet a few weeks back but unfortunately i have ripped my duckbill splitter off since then so had to put the small one back on but i think i prefer the smaller one now plus got rid of the mooneyes and jacks sticker off front window
