Rabbit from Finland, a Lot of pictures
Hey. I'm from Finland. I apologize for bad English but I try my best
I bought this mk1 10. september -11.
That it looked like when I got it:
Then i started with the rust. I haven't welded the first three pictures welds.
The previous owner made thoise welds. Bad quality so I took them off. I welded there new metal plates.
Then I painted floor so it won't rust any more. But I will remove all paints by sandblasting and then paint whole interrior with epoxfiller. After that there won't be rust anywhere.
Then the next victims were:
Next step. I have to use tin with roof. If i weld it roof starts to look like corrugated iron
Let's go foward! Why there are those three holes ? (in the last pic of this group, small image)
And todays work
Next i will finish that. There are still rust in the window but i made first that small plant because it's easier that way.
This is my dailydrive car, my first project. Caddy mk1 1988 1.6 TD with bigger turbo and intercooler..
Project in a nutshell. It took 9 months to complete it. There isn't all rust/pics of made things because this is golf forum

Wou-ou. Finally home again. I haven't had time to do anything in recent days. But today I continued with the front window.
Too much muscle
Now it's time to order roll cage and new seats.
