hi finnaly got some pics odf my car today,still lots to do but ive made a start.,








thats it for now pln is to get it on the road for end of summer but its outside so have wait for good weather :roll:

Driveway restos always a pain at this time of year. Looks like a mk1 Driver, are you going to keep it original or mod it?

yes its a driver planning simple mods like smoothing rear ,small bumpers 14"wheels r,s,l,,s and lots of crome bits.
did a bit more today as it stoped snowing for a wile ,cut out n/s arch ready for new panel then ran out of daylight try again next week..

excuse the green paint all i had to cover bare metal.,

ahhh that brings back memories of doing mine!

good work so far, I've also got to work outside  :cry: found a good set of thermal overall's and lots of tea helps though  :wink:

got the other arch on now and started filling,,

this is taking ages to as my corrado keeps poping its boost pipes of ones thats sorted i can spend more time on the golf

looking at gettin fibreglass front wings from ebay?has anyone else tryd these as ive never heard anything bad about them and are resonably priced?? :dontknow:

a mate of mine has got them, they look good quality, youll have to drill the holes to mount the side trim and bolt them on, but no big job, they are moulds of VAG wings, and wont rust…and as you can no longer get genuine ones, i spose its a good idea

i dunno cos they are still in primer, he hasnt fitted them yet, but they are super smooth on the outside, the rough finish is only on inside of wing.

got busy this week as im off work so finnished off my arches zinced and wax oiled them also bought a gti rear axle with rooll bar painted that up and fitted it today along with my new coilovers.,

also got hold of a pair of vw cabby front wings need to weld up indicater holes  but trial fitted them and they look perfect so no messing with pattern pannels for me.,

took a couple of pics to show what ive done so far .,






its good to have the rear wheels back on .,.,
