Settling In
new project
so here is a few pics unfort somebosy has smoothed the rear and stuck a bigbor eon it but luckily i have the baffle.
im not to bad with a spanner so prob do the easy stuff myself
ok last one is of my other car being fitted with a chargecooler
what are the main things to do
already doing
airfilter
oil filter
plugs
leeds
i know the leeds are knackered as i had a hell of belt off one when it was running lol
also half way through the engine pictures what is the thing that is unplugged there is a close up photo

things that are wrong so far
guages dont work
roof leaking
random wiring on dash and engine bay
random switch on dash
door handles loose
plastic strip missing on exterior
engine missing due to damp leeds
no parcel shelf
bearings on rear wheels excessive play
i had to put clocks in as it didnt have any
glove box not working/sitting straight
more random wiring in engine by lights
something unplugged on engine
taking its a water pipe on right side of block leaking and corroded
water coming out of expansion bottle
drivers door rubs front arch when opened or closed
rear passenger window winder missing
weather strips on both doors missing
gear selector has to much play
swimming pool in rear was this a expensive extra lol
but the body work is ok ish lol

depends on how much work you're looking to do here, but if you have the time and space, whack the engine out and put it all back in cleaning up/replacing as you go.
I don't think I could do that, as I have a lack of skills and tools, but if you got time and skills, then you'll know everything is tiptop.
If you haven't yet got one, spend your next ?20 on a haynes manual, that is the best advice i ever gave right there.

leaking roof
my roof is leaking very bad in the top right hand corner where it latches down, what should i be looking for

and now it starts
its has all electrics so depending on the bodywork going to take the electric windows etc
it has a mint leather interior and i think its a 16v engine so prob going to get the bits i need off it then prob break the rest

That'll probably be the foam gasket between the frame and the rubber seal. Unscrew, replace and job done.
