Need Some Help on a Series 1 GTI restoration
I bought Toby's lhd drive series 1 Golf GTi. Totally original and i understand that it was one of the first into the UK before the rhd model.
I am about to start the renovation and will be posting pictures soon. But before i do so, i am just not sure how far to go with the restoration. The car is stripped out, and looking at some of the members car, to do the job right, i need to re-spray inside and out. My aim is to restore the car to its former glory and would love to exhibit at some exhibition next year, as i believe it is a special car.
My question is: The inside of the car is OK, but nothing special. No-one sees it therefore is it necessary to re-spray inside and out?

I guess you're right, a lot of the interior wont be seen, as long as there's no rust/rot left lurking to get worse then no need to worry about it.
Pics would be very good for our viewing pleasure though
Cheers
