Need New rear suspension springs, where from?

hi forum,

I own a 1994 Golf Cabby, and i recently put in 17" rims, and now i think it was a bad bad move
now the barrings at the back are very very bad and i had to get them changed
also the whole back seems to have dropped rather low and when i take a fast corner
the wheels scrape on the car inside

so i am thinking i need new suspension springs and maybe some new shocks

i am rather sad and i don't know what to do
i was wondering is anyone else have put in 17" rims ?
and did they experience any problems   ??
and if i wanted to get a new set of rear suspension cables where can i get them from???
