here is a few pics of it up to now its had to be stored for ages due to no were to keep it as we had to move out of are old unit, but no i have a new one 5 mins up the road from my house so a will be there all the time now don't think the girl friend will like it tho :?

cleaned up the rust and then used weld through zink primmer

heating the primmer up coz it was so cold and taking ages to dry

new one weld in and metal bonded in to help not rot again

started to fill the door and also treated the little bit of rust which was coming through at the bottom

I used a spot weld drill piece to get to most of the spot welds and a grinder with a stone disc on it to get the tray off from the leg, then mig plugged it back on but also use metal bond to put it on as it is suppose to be as strong as weld and u can weld through when wet :)

here is some pics of what i have done since crumb

took out all the crap that i have gathered for spares ect which was just thrown in the back from when i moved it.

put it up in the air with some slightly random axle stands  :?

its now up in the air just need to lift it up at the back a bit higher

its now ridden a bit higher than the caddy

all stone chipped

1.8 gti engine

i have but my inner drivers side rear arch in, as some goon who had the car before cut it away to fit bigger wheels on  :banged: which made me a lot more work

new arch

new inner arch outer lip

inner all zink primed up to help provent rust

outer on and filled

arch just dolphine glazed up

put a guide coat on so a could get the shape of the lines better and also help with any small wobbels in the filler
