My Q Plate Mk1 Golf Cabrio

  Hi there ppl, this is my mk1 cabbie project   .
It needs a fair bit of work doing to it as there are so many lil bits and pieces missing.
It's had a dodgey respray in the past and its on a Q plate registration.
I've always wanted a mk1 from the 1st time I drove in my brothers silver campaign back when I was lil!!

It's also a automatic :?  With the speedo cable missing!! I did manage to buy one from Euro car Parts (at least i was told it was for an auto) back in 2005 but I never ever got round to fitting it because it did not come with anything to bolt it into the gearbox.

Anyways my aim is to get it road worthy in time for mid summer and so far the only things i can see that will stop me from doing so are the fact the brake lights have decided to stop working, reverse lights have also decided to stop working and the downpipe is blowing.

Any advice appreciated 8)
