My MK1 Road legal race car
Here she was when I first bought her - end of 2009
Then a bit of this
and a bit of that
a dash of this
a smattering of GSXR
If you look closely at the photo below, you can see the gearbox destroying itself  Anyway bargain £30 16V AQB code 'box in now
Anyway, it isn't fast enough, so I've just bought a TT/Octavia VRS spec 20VT which is going in over winter - along with a big intercooler/remap etc (230bhp ish) along with a bias pedal box to get shot of that crappy linkage, and a few other bits and bobs

Cool mate. Awesome rollcage
Cheers dude, all the cage work (and the bulk of the build) was done by Rob Judge at RNJ Motorsport, it feels like a touring car inside!

I'm gonna miss the induction noise when the 20VT goes in, but 230 odd horses should make up for it

I've got a VRS AUQ motor, and an O2J box. I'm picking up some mounts from James Hodson (Sub11 Motorsport) this weekend, and I've bought a G60 flywheel, the various bits of loom/ECU, a Tilton bias pedal box (gonna get shot of that linkage whilst the engine is out) a VRS cable shifter, poly mounts, various bolts, a VR6 clutch, and a DBW pedal.
The rough plan is head up to my mate Rob Judges (RNJ Motorsport) where the engine and box currently living - Robs very kindly letting me use his workshop to fit the engine/box (which will include ditching the DMF and a full service on the motor) then Rob's fabbing me up a side exit exhaust and some intercooler mounts, then it's off to Sub11 for the wiring (I hate wiring!!)hoses, dump valve, a remap/rolling road sesh.
Fingers x'd for about 230ish BHP Which should be rapid in a very stripped out MK1!
