My MK1 Resto project. **Updated Finished Pics** Page 3

I brought my mk1 off a load who had lost interest in so i set to work and here are a few pics of how me and my old man are doing.

The mk1 has had new front and rear valence, new front wings and new rear arches, good job my dads a awesome welder.

Also we ripped out the old white roof lining and put in a new black vynal one which will match the door cards.

All to do now is take some pics when its sprayed.

Yes it is a small block 1300.  But what is a G?

I have no idea what the rims are they came with the golf they are steel and in need of a re-chrome.

i think forgeman's on about a G40 supercharged 1.3 from a polo.

sack that, 1.8 G60

Very good work! I'm sure Mk1's look better in primer, it says a lot about the car and the owner when you see them like that!

That's a really nice colour! My cabby was going that colour for a while, but i decided, no roof and purple, don't look great for a bloke haha.

Looks sweet on the Tin Tops though!

ive got to say…im loving modded 5doors!  those wheels are gorgeous!!! against the purple chrome parts just bounce!!

Ahhhh i see we have the same taste brucieboy.

Yeh the rims came with the golf when i brought it and it took me a while to decide what colour would look good on that car and make chrome look good. All i need to do it get the wheels re-chromed.

I'm also putting all the chrome trims back on around the windows and the side strips.

Hopefully it will all corrospond nicely.
