hi im new here and resonbly new to the scene, i bought my golf as a rolling shell in august 08 and heres some before and after pix

can I ask you how you blacked the p`s on the pirelli`s,mine have been repainted but they wouldn`t do the p`s,cheers sean

I was going to be painting my golf in a similar two tone when i'd saved enough but it looks like something else now for me.  Really good looking car, well done.

sorry to high jack. nice car by the way.
paint the black first with the inner edge masked.
leave to dry then mask the black part.
paint the wheel.
or as i plan to do polish the suckers.

or if you want to be really trick make a set of drop in templates that fit into the p's from a peice of wood.

old air cooled trick. lift it on the hinges to get better air flow.

Don't really understand how it works the wrong way round though?

I suppose it's to allow air to escape rather than enter the bay?

yer its to alow hot air to exit the engine bay by blowing nice cold air over the top of the engine only thing is if you have a head on the bonnet goes through the windscreen like mine did on ma polo good job i had 4 point harnesses

hi thanx for your in put on the car guys , its powered by a 1.8 driver on a webber carb and a kent high lift cam

done a few more little bits , since the pix i have removed the eyebrow

sorry forgot to mention apart from the obvious mods etc ive got the bonnet to sit proply again, i painted the p's with a brush after sprayin the wheels

the whole car including buying it as a rolling shell it owes me?1400 ish

im a apprentice painter by trade and at only 19 i just had to have a mk1 golf after goin to rtts in my pals , so at the time it made sence to buy a reck

it may not be perfect of reliable but who cares its mine and all mine and i love it!!! 8)
