this is my golf ive hade it for a couple of years puting a 2.0 abf in iit at the mo

a bit more got done today
so thats the coolant pipes all done and the exhaust on and heat raped very happy with it now just battery relocation all wiring drive shafts willwood brakes and pedal box that im getting off crazy quiffs and the fule lines.

thanks i hope it will stay like that when the wiring goes in.
which mount the front or back 1 i got most the bits from a place called retro vw they started the engine conversion but fucked me about lods . i think he's only doing parts at the mo but he is based by gatwick and has a web site

Thanks alot the rad came from a bloke on eBay he had it coustom made and he was striping his car

Car was finished today took it to get the carbs set up and maped 170bhp is so much fun to drive

Yeah im down the road in Godalming, my mk1 is being worked on every weekend, my daily driver is a mk3 16v which is ok but I can't wait to get the mk1 out for a spin !

Nice MK1, what exhaust manifold did you use? Did you have any issues with clearance with the ABF? Doing the same in mine but with Bike Carbs!

Hi there I used a supersprint exhaust they do a kit for the conversion had to heat up and bend the manifold a bit to make it miss the stering gator but was ok. Taking off the old intake manifold and putting on carbs gives u the clerance u need with the 2.0 taller block
