My Mars Red Mk1 Golf :)

not much of a project as I bought it more or less done but i have added a few subtle touches, just thought i would share with some of you and take in some constructive criticism

I bought it on some seized coilovers, it was rolling on a set of badly kerbed ats classics and it was fairly dirty and had been poorly maintained.
When i got it i took it off the road and did some essential maintenance which consisted of most of the gaskets being changed including the head, coolant and block all flushed out and cleaned, new spark plugs, new thermostat, new waterpump, new coolant pipes as they were corroded, new oil and fuel filter, new fuel lines, new brake discs and pads, sorted out the exhaust as it was blowing, had the carb set up properly as it was running really choppy then gave everything a good clean inside an out as it was filthy, just to get the bodywork gleaming!

I then replaced the coilovers with some JOM ones i picked up cheap brand new, fitted new top mounts all round, fitted a cl spoiler and gti centre console with genuine vdo gauges, added some pressed plates, and bought a new set of shiny bbs rs replicas wrapped in nankangs just to top it off

I'm only 19 so the car is only a 1.1 as thats all i can afford to insure!

im really happy with the car now as it is great condition and has no rust at all as i'm guessing it has been previously treated from what i can see looking around the car.
