my first car

hey everyone. i got a 1983 mk1 golf with a 1.1 engine (beast!) i got given this car to me by my dad, at first i wasnt to sure if i liked it but after a month or 2 its grown on me and i cant stay away from it

i am lucky to have a dad that does pannel beating and painting, hes been doing it for about 23 years now and is helping out with the car.
i wont be touching the engine or braking system until i get a lil old (only 17 atm ) and a better job. i have managed to save up for a few things for the car. my next buy will be some new rims…. hopefully deep dish  
its only got 88k miles on the clock and only 1 owner!

there was only some rust under the wheel arches and where the spair wheel is but now all has been repaired.
at first i wanted to spray it its orgrinal colour but then i found a colour that really did set it off well, this gave my dad the idea to use polyestery spray before the primer hits it.

we have been working on the car for about a year now just havent really thought about putting it up on here. so enough talking here are some pictures of my car enjoy

i have been looking at some schmidl's and keskin and ronal but havent made up my mind yet
