I bought my 89 cabby off ebay for 200 quid,wasnt the best example (been sat on a farm for 2 years)…But thanks to advice from here itdone and done.
New Moair roof..i was in a bit of a flap about cutting the window..THEN i read the article on here..duuuh.
I hope iv done this correctly…im useless with computer machines.

well,the dodgy rust bits i cut out,the worst part was around the wipers and bottom of the screen…took me ages,im painter i cant weld for s..t. I painted most of the car at work (suckers).
The TR8 is my dad (i could use the garage on the condition i do TR+Y and restore his TR8…sighhhh. Its been sat for TEN YEARS…thikn its grown into the wall.

yeahhh lots of tr7/tr8s are rotten nowadays. That one has been sat for 10 years,my dad bought it in 1988 and its never really moved.

Thanks. The badges i painted myself (porsche basalt black and just laquered over them). i painted the side trim,scuff panels on the sill when you open the door and the side pillar plastic bits the same colour (i know its not original but the paint was left over haaaaa.

THe nerves pf painting a WHITE car in a dusty garage..hmm
Does anybody know how to rebuild a gearbox AND engine? What new parts i need? …i havent a clue

Looking good mate, I've got the beginnings of a similar rust issue around the bottom of my windscreen too no idea how to remove the rubber though.

its a pain isnt it,I just cut the rubber from my widow but i made sure i bought a new (ish) one first (10 quid off ebay). SInce though i have helped a mate remove his window by using loadssssss of rivets or long nails to fit behind the rubber on the inside all the way round,it works.
