as you can see she was really quite rough when i bought her. she was a project that had been forgotten about due to ill health. i started on her that night and havent stopped since. instead of posting all the prep work i will just post a few of her before painting.

well that will do me for now. i will keep you guys posted if i have any interest in her, if not i'll carry on in silence :P cheers :)

Good work mate she looking good! Are you putting her back to standard or are you going custom? You got any plans for the engine? It's great to see another golf saved!!

Cheers, Andy.

Mk1 Golf Gti Resto

Hi Mate,

Looks like you are progressing at lightning speed, looks great.

Its good to see another Mk1 being saved north of the border.

Are you doing all the work yourself, or are you getting specialists involved ?

I'm trying to restore a Mk1 driver at the moment, much slower than you, and as funds allow.

Looking forward to your next installment, and if you're anywhere near East Kilbride, give me a pm.

Good luck with the rest of your resto

Cheers

David

we've put some serious work into her since i got her. we want to do her right so we've been taking our time aswell,

well im a panel beater, so some of the body work has been done by myself. and some has been done by mick that works with me and my dads put his bit in too, but im leaving the engine work to one of my dads mates who has been a volkswagen specialist for over 20 years.

where can i see your progress?.

ok mate

cheers buddy.
