hi i final got a mk1 golf after years of aircooled stuff.
this is what i bought for ?300. a solid golf with a GTI motor and the original motor. all solid and with loads of spares.

my plans for it are just to get it up and running for some summer fun.
i gotta put in a new fuel pump and also fix a CV joint if i can ever get the hub nut off.

well ive been mucking about with wheels and coilovers.
first try was with ATS classics



but after smashing the sump and alot of flat tyres i changed to some porsche rims, also put some tint on.

In the first few pics, is it just me or have the shocks been fitted with the spacer on the top??? it should go through the bushes not on top??????

I suppose that would make it lower but would surely leave play in the shock mounting????
