My 82 mk1 cabrio project
i havnt desided if i want an r32 engine or S3 20v turbo yet but got both
i wanted as front subframe and powersteering and desided for the golf mk5
iv started removing the chassie legs as im replacing them with the chassie legs from a mk5 golf (one very big mistake load of work not including the 480 bill from vw for the legs) the the end result should make the car stronger.
sorry pics are abit crap but got my new camera today so they will be better

just picked up a golf mk5 front subframe and spend 30 on bolts from vw
that was a road trip
also been wondering was going to keep the mk1 wheelbase but now thinking of the mk5 wheelbase anyone know where to get a wide wide arch clipper bodykit

im leaning towards the r32 engine right now
didnt know how many layers to cut through
in case you wonder how much matel vw will sell you for 485quids
golf mk5 chassie legs and subframe should add loads of strenght
couldnt finish the other side as the angle grinder broke
