my ?200 project work/toy?

picked this up the other day no mot…well ran out the day b4 i picked it up i should use this as my new work car but my mind starts racing with convertions ect ect :banghead: no im going to use it for work as i work on site i hate leaving my mk2 parked anywhere the mk1s just got a bit more body work defects so i would not be so worried parking on site stupid i know :dontknow: il probably change my mind again coz i think its to good for that.
had never drove a mk1 b4 its onlt a 1.3 polo engined but love the way it moves my mk2 felt like a fat bast*** when i got back in it…. anyway here she is after being sat since march will get more pics when i clean her up shes got 1 and i mean 1 little rust patch on back pasenger side next to the exhaust 8)

woooops how did that get in there cant leave her on site no damage no rust

Looks like a nice, solid car, good find.

Do you know what these seats are? The material looks a bit too modern to be from a mk1 but the side material and the actual shape of the seats look like mk1. :dontknow: Recovered perhaps? :dontknow:

seats

think they are pre 90 spec mk2 seats the driver has a base lowering handel (handy being 6foot plus) on the left unlike mine in the mk2 which is on the right and they look the same as my mates seats in his f reg mk2 but with mk1 head rests

I dont know what polish youre using, but my car was exactly the same and i just T-Cut :dontknow: mine came up after spending about 30 mins to an hour on each panel (actually, ive recorded the time i spent on the car, and ive done 13 hours of polishing to get rid of the dulled oranged paintwork :banghead:

T-Cut is the win so if you havent got any you should invest in it

the stone chips have been treated/painted but the colour is dark red and its run and sat at the bottom of the chip rubbish…  theres loads all over the car… at least they havent rusted to bad :?

as for the shine good old t-cut then a polish then again if not good enough

well hello all been very bizzy with the mk1 of late a mate of mine is using the car as hes mk2 had to have a full engine re-build there was a catch to this tho….he had to get it mot,ed witch we were both worried about being that it had been sat for almost a year……..anyway long story short she passed first time    then we had some running issues long story short again all it needed was a new alternater……so all in all the car has cost me ?20-mot
            ?30-ulternater
            ?3-badge
            ?15-polish
            ?200-car its self
            ?60-ish on road tax
and now she looks like this :D
