My 1982 16v
Just showing some pics of my MK1 Golf! I got the MK1 just over 2 years ago and it was a just a shell, no engine/gearbox, no seats but it still had wheels and suspension fitted, got my boss to tow it home for me and Dad just shook his head and said it would never go! It started as a 1.1 but the engine was passed it and remove by the last owner I stared work on the car as soon as I got it (always wanted a MK1 but ended up with MK2) i done all the welding in the normal places (rear beam mounts and that sort of stuff) fitted a 1.8 16v with its fuel injection for a MK2, fitted powerflex bushes all round, scirocco 16v front brakes, small lights and chrome bumpers! I done all the work, all the welding, but not the respray (i did as much prep as a could)
In the body shop!

Looking good mate. The picture of the rear without the panel looks familiar. I renewed mine earlier this year. Although I happed the car up against the elements before I went off on holiday and have lost the urge to unwrap it in order to get on again.
First Golf, lots of work. I've started so I'll finish!
