And a pic of my last cabby to show you which way i will be heading with this one, still got the missus but not the bloody Rms!

When i actually got to looking at the car it had the blooming sills blocked up and a corrado dash so it was swapped out and taken to berts for a hefty fixing session, im pretty sure he officially hates this car!!lol.

You should put some more pictures of your last cabrio. It looked damn good with BBS. Put a side picture so we can see how BBS look like on that car  :cheer:

This is where it all started with a little donor car all the way from germany!lol.

A classic line golf, then robbed all the goodies to make this;

have some rims!

That should keep everybody up to date, was then sold for a A3 Quattro Turbo, then a golf mk4 gt tdi and finally with much happiness back to an mk1!!

haha, its a secret location!Nah ones at my girlfriends farm where the majority of the work is done, and the other is at sidmouth beach in my hometown devon! As for finding golfs, you've just got to keep those eyes peeled. Stay away from buying useless gimmick parts such as chrome stuff and save it for something more wholesome!lol. Oh and use your student loan wisely!

What finish is on your Design 90's? They almost look chromed! I have a set of polished D90's, but mine are a 4 x 6.5. I've been toying with getting some wider rears, but have never got round to it.

Yours is like my Rivage's twin brother:

Yeh they do look pretty similar, except yours doesnt have a bloomin chavvy grille like mine, really want to get rid of it!lol.

They where 8J all round i think, but not on the car anymore annoyingly. Looking for something different at the moment than the original castellet wheels, wanting something mega wide!lol.

Sonny bought two sets of staggered d90 s and sold the 6.5's off to get one set of 8's all round, he had them chromed but sold them separatly, if the wheels where still on it I would have snapped it up, what does the dash look like welchy? He said it was fitted well apart from the clocks

Did you know the guy or something?the dash is awful to be honest, so im hopefully sourcing one as we speak. The leather in the interior is fine but everything else is foobarred...

No never met, but had a good chat about the car, I had his car lined up as a backup car if I decided not to buy the car I have now, he had a cool name though, seemed nice enough guy, so you travelled to Birmingham from Devon? What a mission, and I reckon you ditch the castelets and buy some schmidts, I think rm's are to common now especially with the lenso being about they are everywhere, stick some dash pics up mate if you can, would like to see what mess was made

He was a really nice guy, but didn't know what he had to be honest. The castellets are actually growing on me as everybody keeps commenting on them. Yeh i think schmidts are coming along, for the moment everything cosmetically is going back to standard, aka standard petrol cap and grille, but staying low…

Right so, think i should really put some pics up of progress, exterior wise I am almost completely happy. Unfortunately im selling the grille to pave some money for the MOT and tax coming up. Shouldnt have really spent my student loan on wheels but hey ho!

Anyways, got the bbs Rms, 7"front 185/45/15 stretched onto them with carbon centres, 8"rear with 195/45/15 toyos. Very very pleased with them, so similar to my last ones but in gunmetal, as you can see by the pics taken in the almost exact spot as my old one!im happier with this one as for ride-height and equipment. Enough jabber, here are some pics from today, still not polished just to get them out there!lol

what it was like when i bought it, hated the grille!

New wheels getting balanced!woo!

Quick spot of the bay to show he's pretty tidy under the bonnet:

Work in progress:

Wheel shots to come when photobucket speeds up and the new look!in about 15minutes!lol

I really like the look here, but do you recommend I stay with the four light grill as opposed to two?  I have considered changing it, my Cab is exactly the same as this just in green.  Are there any small mods that you can suggest as well to make it look a bit more "dubby" I was going to drop it 35mm on springs and then get smoked lights all the way round…

The other question is OZ super T's/TH Monos/BBS or stick with the classic rims?

Cheers
