Mk1 fomal-e MASSIVE update and shes finished! :D

Anyone who has been following this know that me and my dad have carried out all of the work and now shes finished! :D  After 2 weeks of hard work before my driving text to get her ready i failed my driving test!

Seen as you cant get the 60.4mm engine mounts anywhere i decided to fit a 64.4mm which is more readily available. I had to machine a sleeve and weld the new sleeve in place, modify the mount etc. If anyone wants more info/pics p.m me! happy to help!

2" stainless steel rolled tip looks lush  :D

 Trim ready to be painted

New stonechip!

Getting ready for paint  :D

Fresh paint!

More fresh paint!

Teledials in black. I think they just look so right!

Calipers painted red :D

Trim and timing belt gaurd repainted

Under bonnet looks pretty clean compared to what it was like! :D

AND SHES FINISHED!

Would really like to know what you all think   So comment on here or pm me :D

Great job done there mate, when you have past your test just be sensable I would hate to here that after all that hard work you started driving to fast and end up having an accident.
Can't say I like the wheels but we all have our own personal preferances to make our  cars how we as individules want them.
Formule E to a Gti,we love them all :D

Looks brilliant. And the spray job looks really good quality. Did you manage to get all of the orange peal away and how did you do it? Looks like you managed anyway form the pics. I ask as Im spraying a car this weekend.

Hopefully you'll pass your test soon so you can enjoy it!

Hi ross. Orange peel is a bit of a bugger to get rid off as you may know and i rubbed it down with 1000 grit emery at first... but if you rub the slightest bit to hard even after 2 coats you can go back to primer. So after flatting it off my dad gave them another 2 lighter coats and they came up alot better and after compounding and polishing it has virtually disappeared! Who says you need a booth to spray! :P
