Just tell you about my project, which begin in 2007 ,and not yet completed

I bought my mk1 about 50LVL (100$ )

As I can see from pictures the car is well prepared. You have done good tinsmith work.

1.8T 20V for 1000$ is pretty cheap. Here in Croatia that kind of engine costs approximatly 1300$

Anyway you are on a good way with your car.

PS please do not put any spoilers from the green one to your new one! 8)
