Mk1 1.5 GL Silver dream.

Hi everyone!!!
Just picked up my first Mk1 from Belfast, having had a lovely 460 mile drive home im so happy with her! The bodywork is near mint with no rust and barely any imperfections atall.

Car is a:
1983 1.5 golf Gl Auto 66k miles.
Uk Chrome bumpers.
Hot tuning Coilies.
7x15 Keskin alloy wheels with Bridgestone tyres all round (165's)
Fully rebuilt engine 1k ago

No massive plans at the time being, just to tidy up the interior which in places is faded (please contact me if you have any blue interior parts for sale) and to get a few nice chrome body parts, such as mirrors and filler cap. ect. Hopefully in a year or 2 i will put a mk3 gti 2.0 16v engine in her so she will eventually have some majour work done to her by me!

this wee car was my mates , absolute dream to drive and  play with , look after her well mate….you have made quite a few people jealous over here (N.I)…Kenny had toy`d with the idea of a 20v turbo for this but really didn`t want to take the originallity away from it , but as every thing in life "your idea " will be better !! Good luck with your plans and remember wee shall be watching

Just Passed my driving test today!! Really am pleased with that and only 2 minors!  Will be hitting all the shows next year, and is there any left this year you guys would recomend?  Looking forward to meeting some of the forum users at the shows!

congrats on your test, the mk1 looks sweet. similar to mine. there is Edition 38 show this weekend and VW players at northweald airfield on the 18th sept.

hi guys, sorry about the lack of updates. Not much has really changed since i last posted. Gave her an oil change and flushed out the water system last week. Also been having tonnes of trouble with a leeky oil sender, Euro Car Parts sent me the wrong part which damaged the thread on the cylinder head, sent it back and got the right part to later find that that part leeks from the terminal!   So that has been a bit of a work up. Also just got myself a mk3 gti in dragon green this week to drive through the winter. Its a standard 2.0 8v gti, done 77k and fsh!

a couple of shots today showing a few tiny changes i made to her over the last few weeks.

Hi everyone, havent posted in a while. The mk1 has enjoyed quite a bit of maintinance of late, I replaced all the water hoses on the engine and a brake line (for mot) she passed last week with no issues. and now has 1 years tax and test! I've also splashed out on some chrome bits and bobs, including a chrome fuiller cap, chrome mirrors and chrome window winders! I have also bought my self 3x g60 wheels off a mate, so am after a 4th :/  I will have some pickys up when all these bits have been fitted and she is slammed again ready for summer!

Could someone let me know about regional meets arround essex as well as the must do shows for this year!
