just got to finish puting it back together. Waiting to get the decals for the sides and the black trims for along the sidesto finish the exterior. Its lying under about a foot of dust now, as those photos were taken 5-6 weeks ago.

used to have a silver Y reg one pirelli edition wish i'd never sold it. :cry:
but yours looks tidy on the look out for a silver one now but no joy as of yet

Lovely same as mine cant beat the Silver.

Latest pics, as of May 2010, the outside is getting there, the wheels need done, but i'll get that done over the winter probably!

I would like to get some miles done in the Mk1, but this weekend i have a 10k, then the 2 following weekends are stag weekends(1st in Perthshire) followed by the weddings! Where are you anyway? The number on your car is from my area!

yeh must be the only mk1 gti that left the north alive  
dont know the cars history , but im sure through time someone will tell me , it hasnt had a lot of owners

Im in Wick, only aware of  a couple of other mk1's up here. Plenty of people admire the car when its parked in the back of the workshop, and that been in a unfinished state!
Be interesting to know where your car came from, if it came from Caithness I could easily know the original owner! I have history tracing mine back to the mid/late 80's
I like see'ing the local numbered cars but they are very rare now.

yeh bud , i would like to know who the first owner was as well , if you have any info let me know  - i was up in thurso the other week with mine ,quite often up there actually
