been on here for a wile as i was looking for a mk1 :) as ive allways wanted one and this one came along and i couldnt resist   8)

well

coilovers about a 100mm drop, compomotive ms wheels in 13x7 et-7, new exhaust and bike carbs hopfully if the plan goes as it should haha   8)

got the new coilovers and wheels on 2day, i had a few clearence issues with the wheels and brake calipers but thats all sorted now :)

what you think ?









i think im as low as i can go as the car still has to be used daily

little update

was checking the timing today and doing a few other things so i thought it would be rude not to spray the cam cover as it was all rusty

what you think ?





also the bike carb manifold is also done soo should be rocking Kawasaki zzr 1100 carbs soon  :D

looking good mate, nearly got the same wheels for my car,
Let me know how it goes with the carbs on there, got the same engine in mine and was thinking about doing the same. Did you get a manifold made up for it?

the wheels were abit of a mission to get on as they rubbed the calipers big time  :evil: but nothing a grinder and some spacers couldnt sort  :P

well ive made the manifold myself as i did the same conversion on my 1.6 mk2 golf

ino makes it a different car , when i had them on my 1.6 driver they sounded like 45 webbers, was lush ahaah  8)  8)  8)  8)

How the car running on the carbs mate? Good performance? Cold starts ok? and the all important fuel economy?  :lol:
