Hi All
OK just started stripping OJ down
Then found this to my horror!!! so is there a repair section panel for this or do i have to buy a new complete tub panel? was hoping to do a track day this summer but looks like it might be put on hold..

OK been a little busy sense the last post,but started stripping the car down this weekend,found lots to do :? Oh well brought myself a welder to keep the costs down,a bit before it goes to the body shop..The seat is a MK2 one i picked up from GTI international in 1999 for the some of ?10 well i Cary work on it,the interior is nice and safe in the garage loft,one day it will all go back in

jeeeeeeeeeesus thats a big hole!
if i were you i would seriously consider a rotisserie, or some matresses and tyres to get it on its side, maybe pay to have it all shot blasted and primed instead?
would be good to see it on the road though, I love white GTIs

Cheers, yeah is starting off nicely so far,The rear strut brace was back from many moons ago from Autocavan built and designed by Geoff Thomas himself

Yes is a big hole :? Oh well more work to do!! Yeah the underneath is solid was cleaned and re-waxed oiled 10 years ago but the body shop is cleaning it all down and re-waxing it when its is for the front panel & sills & Tub to be fitted :roll:

To be continued......... i now have this as my next project, should keep me out of mischief, bodywork is in a poor state , but i think OJ is worth saving and andy has provided me with majority of the panels need..........
