johns-jettas....jetta!

Right been meaning to make a post here for a while so here it is!

had plenty of golfs before 1s,2s, and 3s but always fancied a jetta.

Found out a chap down the road had one, had been sat in a farm for a year or two and was looking a bit sorry for itself. Big thanks to Ashley at Berkshire Bugs for (literally) dragging it down the road for me, and for the princely sum of ?130 it was mine.

Nice and grubby, best way to start a project.

A quick jetwash and the shettas ready for its mot






passed first time, after id fitted a new backbox. (lashed up mk2 middle box) no one listed an exhaust for a 1.3 jetta, but its still holding on fine.

drove around for a week or two, was fine apart from cooking the head gasket and blowing a rear tyre out at exactly the same time! Whipped a new head gasket on and it made the 200 mile trip to Swansea where it is now

and the first of the mods  

got some of this soundproofing, big roll didnt do anywhere near as much as i thought it would!






well thats it for now, not sure what to do next as funds are slightly lacking due to being a student again.

Plans are definitely get another gear on there, motorway driving in 4th is painful i feel sorry for the poor thing! Got a 2 litre 8v lump lying about so might have a look into that as well.

Great Jetta dude !!! keep the updates coming give me a kick up the ass to sort mine out lol and as for the 3 door Jetta, thats just sick, why didnt we get a three door option in the UK dam it !!!!!!!!!!

I think Dubpartz on here has a Jetta Coupe.

All you need for yours are some nice wide rims and coilovers.  8)

heres mine picked up for 500 in the summer of a chap on the caddy forum mot soon 34k on the clock…. shes now dropped on collies, soon to have some banded steelies gti arches and stripe, 16v in the summer.

Bad news, this absolutely sucks but i have to ebay the jetta i simply cannot find a job where i am at uni, not even mcdonalds are hiring and my rent is due in a week.  

I wish i could just stash it away in a garage until i have the money to show it some love but i guess thats life eh.

Also found out someone has hit the car outside my house and driven off! Not too much damage but  cracked the passenger front indicator lens  :evil:  :evil:  :evil:

To say i was a little annoyed is an understatement im normally pretty calm but felt a wave of violence sweep over me lol. At least it never did any proper damage but still…

Well hopefully thats the end of my bad news for a while, apart from the fact that i will have to take the bus everywhere from now on!

I'm sure you'll get more than your money back for it - especially since you've improved it and got it through its MOT etc. Good luck with the sale. The time'll come when you can get another VW…good things come to those who wait and all that.

WOW  8O  thats some road trip !!!! Great Jetta you got yourself dude ! make sure your keep the up dates and pics coming through as well. So what are the plans for her then, anything wild

maybe engine swap dunno yet but i want it stripped down cleaned then buit up again ill post a few pics up soon of what ive down
