Whats the BRM engine?

Is it a VW tuned by BRM or something else completely?

the engine has brmotorsport and a number stamped in the head,
but i dont now much about it apart from it was a lot quicker then
any standard 16v. it was taken out of a mk2 jetta gti.
i dont now if it was from vw like this or it has been tuned
 some where else.

I'm glad that you are still working on this project.  I'm thinking about putting weber 45's on my 16v.

You should need the mk2 16v (Kr) ignition loom bud.
The loom, dizzy which you have, the tch unit and ecu.

Not sure about the polo bit…

Looks good though  :$
