its bac!!!

ok we got the car bac from the garage finally after a battery chargein problem,so now the real fun starts, when she was driving it back whenever the footbrake was pressed the engine cut out but started straight up and it was abit jerky in 3rd gear,have noticed the fuel pump is leaking now could this be the problem or something else,the car has been stood for some time before we bought it do you thing maybe it jus needs a good run? any help would be goood oh its a 1.8 gti 16 valve

Defo sort the fuel pump leak - esp if you smoke! :wink:  May just need a good run and a good service - new plugs, leads, dizzy cap etc?

thanks i did give it a service when we gt it new oil,oil filter new plugs and new air and petrol filter too,think it does need a new dizzy altoghether got a strange rattle coming from inside and would the  CO adjustment screw missing on the air flow meter do anything may need sorce one of those too,thanks for the info
