Hey guys. A standard 1.4i is around R80000 here. I'm guessing thats about 8000 Pounds. Add your import duties. We don't have a Mk1 Gti. But we DO have a limited edition R line. Comes with a 1.8i motor pushing 90kw. Only 100 were made. Sells for about R130000 or 13000 Pounds. We also have a normal 1.8i but without a bodykit like the R line. There are no 3 doors.

are the rear lights standard?? that looks cool as. whish they still made them over here, might see if vw can import some over lol.

do they do a cabby or is it just the hard top??

Tin top only, i am currently intouch with a shop in SA as regards parts for mine, after citi mudflaps and some other things, thye will only post small things i.e. lights, handles etc not bumpers and that sort due to cost
those lights are there for between R500 & R600, ?30-40 depending on which type you want, then your cost to ship them over

Heres mine

The lights are standard. But I did smoke mine. Vw brought out a small facelift in 2006. With these new lights and a bumper grill on the front. We only get a hardtop.

that dash is the same as our fabia

mounts are different and also the wiring is a lot harder...
