Houston's Sportline 16v, for now...
Thought I would put a few photos of my car up. Its a 1991 cabby GTI sportline with a 1.8 16V KR conversion. This was done by the prevous owner. I bought the car back in January and just put it on the road in march. Since ive got it ive replace the hole exhaust as the manifold split, respared front bumper (hoping to do the whole car in winter), bought some BBS RS's 7inch fronts and 8.5inch rears. Its currently running 20mm spacers on the front but they will be coming off when i get wider dishes. Other than that its just had a good clean. I use it every day to get to work and back and im really enjoying it. Anyway, some pics

I had my first trip down to Gti International this year and took the golf on the 800mile round trip. Thought it was pretty good. Would like to do it again but think I will stay down there a night instead of doing soon the trip in one day.

Not posted on here for ages, so here goes.
Ended up taking the car off the road over last winter. I took the engine out and gave it all a tidy and renewed alot of the parts. I also had all the white parts powdercoated and some other bits too, and also the BBS RS's to match. I have bought new stainless dishes and stainless bolts, along with new genuine BBS red centre badges and valves. Currenlt running 7.5" fronts and 8.5 rear. I managed to also find a metering head cover and adapted it to fit, really tidies it up. I also got a friend to smooth the rocket cover, just looks abit nicer too me, as is easier to clean haha. Things that have been replaced for new include - alternator, starter motor, waterpump, thermostat, radatior, battery, scuttle tray, bottles, stage 1 clutch kit, lightend flywheel, brake flexis, slave cylinders, handbrake cables, accel cable, clutch cable, shoes, dizzy, rotor arm, ht leads, few hoses. Plus more bits and bobs, including gaskets.
Ive also had the interior professionally cleaned too so the seats are looking good.
Few pics from the past year.
At biggar this year. On my friends wheels as mine werent done in time.
Before the red badges

Well after a long think, im going to be keeping the golf for a wee while yet. Its coming off the road at the end of this month for winter, thankfully this winter im gettting a big lockup to keep/work on the car in. Got a few plans for the car over winter such as- replace centre section and backbox with stainless system to match manifold, changee a few bushes and top mounts, maybe change coilovers if these have leaked (which i think they have), more tidying in the engine bay. Get the rear lights sorted, some performance mods depending on what I can find. I probably wont be touching any of the paint, as I dont want to do bits and bobs, would want to do the whole car properly when ive got the spare money.
Got an idea for the seat/doorcards which will make it really OEM+, but ill need to make sure it will look good, otherwise I will ruin a set of already nice seats.
Few pics (excuse the red/pink lights), they need taken off.
