Golf Project

Afternoon all, not really posted on here much but hey, that'll change . Gonna be starting my project soon, Hoping to put a 2.0 16v Corrado engine into the golf!

Always wanted a mk1 golf but have always had other projects on the go but now ive got time and space i can finally get going.

Ill post some pics up









Got a full corrado loom, KR cams, Manifold, plus some other bits. Hoping to start work asap!


I expect that ill be posting up asking for advice and what not!

Ive read alot of good things about the 2.0 in a mk1 golf. An engine popped up cheap so thought why not.

Hey, Yeh i did a little search on when i first got this car. Have got some pics also when it had its original black paint and S2 rear end, Prefer it now mind!

Just want to make it a tidy golf with a little stance/camber.

Small update on the golf. Old engine is out, now going to spend some time on the engine bay, cleaning, stripping and painting it. Rubjonny has done my loom for me, just waiting for it to come through the post. Any ways i have a couple of pictures and ill update once ive made more progress.

Been doing a bit of de-greasing and stuff in the bay. Not sure what colour to do the bay. Same colour as the car or satin/gloss black?

Do it the same colour as the car mate. Will look better IMO. Nice update btw

Only a small update, been so busy at work its very annoying not having much time on the car but its almost ready for paint







Going to be making a shopping list soon for paint and materials. Getting very excited now, just want the car back on the road!

I know how you feel. My car is fully stripped and just waiting for the bodychop to pick up. Just want it to go in!

Also the injectors don't seem to sit in the manifold very well. They seem to pop out easily with a wiggle?

did you have issues fitting the brake transfer mechanism back in behind the engine?

I fitted it before i fitted the engine
