Golf GTI Cab Restoration....

Ok first of all apologies, there are no Pictures of the actual work I have done, but I promise that I will take some real soon, but here is what I started with..

Back arches, were rotten and was expecting the inner arches to be really bad, but the first couple of inches were bad and then, just solid metal, took the drivers door off and threw in the bin (it was pretty bad) and took the drivers side front wing off….Now for the major surprise.  the inner wings look brand new, just a coating of surface dust….. 8)

Took the bonnet off and the car is looking rather sorry for it's self.

But I am not going to have to do as much as I thought….

Drivers side front wing, half an outer sill, Drivers side door, new bonnet, back valance, back of the spare wheel well, Interior (Got a Rivage one locally), and a new hood (Found a cheap supplier of Mohair one's on ebay) ……

Looking at a couple of months work I reckon and hopefully will have a good solid ride for the summer….

Pics soon, I promise  :D

What colour are you going for? It looks quite unusual in the light blue!  :)

Going to stick with the original colour, dont want to go changing it, then I am into painting under the bonnet n stuff… Besides I do like it.

Need to get the paint code soon, as my mate has offered to spray her… 8)

…paint code should be on the sticker (2 below) in the boot - if it's still there….
