Garden Find MK1 GTI Convertable

Just taken delivery of my e reg (e505 ugp) mk1 gti convertable, needs a n/s front spring and some brake pipes not bad for a 25 year old car last run in 1996?
Never worked on a golf before and need some tips…what should I look out for? it came with loads of spares new gear box headlights grills etc.
