Hi
Still fairly new and just plucked up the courage to show what iv bought !
First VW iv ever owned , and im not young anymore, but always fancied a mk1 cabby.
Be good to know what you think but try to be kind !

Welcome mate.

Looks like you got yourself a nice golf there.

Any plans for it?

Ha - I was just going to say that it is nice apart from the clear rear lights and the rims!

Standard lights will look better IMO. Nice set of 15" BBS with lower profile rubber would set it off a treat too!

What he said above !.

Looks like a nice clean example, you done good…although the rear lenses would be hastily returned to normal for me  :) .

Enjoy it mate, think you timed it well.

with you all on the wheels, but not sure what size to go for as its got coilovers on and iv read loads of horror stories on here about rubbing.
Afraid the lights are staying tho!!

Nice mk1 cabby, some people don't do style on here!  Keep the clear lights, they're different. Or maybe tint them all red :dontknow:  As for the alloys, there are loads to choose from, all down to what floats your boat really. Go and have a look throught this thread:

The Mk1 Golf Owners Club

Then you'll get a good idea on what you like on a cabby. My Rivage is on coilovers and I run it with mirror polished 16" Porsche Design 90 alloys, no rubbing at all. I've had it pretty low aswell, it depends on the width of the rim.

think it would look really cool with all smoked lights or all clear lens
